Lisa Agabian is an experienced communications professional who has passionately championed animals and the environment for the better part of three decades. She has been the pr officer for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Animals Asia, and The Ark Trust, Inc., the latter of which produced Hollywood’s annual star-studded and televised Genesis Awards, later acquired by The Humane Society of the United States. An expert in media and celebrity relations, Lisa has been responsible for breaking numerous stories on the front page of the Los Angeles Times which created public awareness leading to sweeping policy change; helped orchestrate a story for a multi-award-winning newspaper series for the New York Times that led to development of book and movie deals; worked with an independent production company to develop an award-winning TV series for Animal Planet; arranged an exclusive, clandestine interview in offshore waters between then-Interpol fugitive Captain Paul Watson and Anchor Scott Pelley for “60 Minutes”; and engaged the support of major musicians such as Aerosmith to take on the cause of caring for the oceans among other achievements. She has been quoted and/or mentioned in such media outlets as CNN.com, the Associated Press, Agence France Presse, the Los Angeles Times, Yahoo! News, Huffington Post, IMDb, Discovery.com, Netflix.com, the San Jose Mercury News, Getty Images and NBC affiliates to name a few. She appears in the 2014 critically acclaimed documentary, “Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret” available worldwide on Netflix and subtitled in more than 15 languages.
