Álvaro Alpízar A.

Specializing in Negotiation and Conflict Management in Cambridge, MA, Mr. Álvaro Alpizar gained experience on planning and cargo operations sector for the aeronautical industry and in supply chain management. After fulfilling various roles in several international and local companies, in 1995 he founded Rex Cargo Costa Rica and, since 2010, has served as CEO of Rex America Group, Inc. He added to this an intense performance in business organizations and chambers such as the Costa Rican Chamber of Exporters, of which he was vice president in 2013, and president of the Board of Directors of the World BASC Organization, from 2015 to 2019. However, this prominent Costa Rican businessman, beyond his professional performance, gathers traits that distinguish him as a citizen who is particularly committed to the well-being of his community, such as being an experienced volunteer for the Costa Rican Fire Department. And that commitment is also reflected in its active support for environmental causes, for which for years it has provided transportation facilities and logistical support with units of its fleet for cleaning beaches and removing waste from local Conservation Areas, like Coco’s Island and the Pacific coast.
