Funding Operation Officer - For The Oceans Foundation
A Southern California native, and fan of surfing, rowing, and travel, he has roamed the world including Latin America, especially Central America. He studied Geography at San Diego State University and has worked in public sector planning in the city of Carlsbad; coastal land use planning consulting in San Diego County, and coastal policy development in California and New Zealand. He collaborated also with conservation efforts in Baja California, Mexico through Wildcoast.org and served on the board of the California Coastal and Beach Preservation Association. He has given talks on coastal conservation and marine resource issues in California, Washington DC, Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand. Eric published studies on the global eradication of invasive marine algae off the coast of California, which led to experiences in the Mediterranean Sea and Australia.
Eric will help protect the oceans in Costa Rica and Central America by seeking financial resources, community support, and corporate donations to further the multinational mission of For the Oceans Foundation.
You can protect threatened ocean wildlife and their habitats with a monthly donation to For The Oceans. We are thrilled to have recently acquired our first sailing vessel dedicated to educating youth about ocean conservation as well as cleaning up plastic debris. Your support of our oceans is needed now to enable us to secure a second vessel to begin patrolling Costa Rican waters to stop illegal and unregulated fishing. PLEASE DONATE TODAY!
